Experienced Speciality Barista for Pavilion – Victoria Park Job Type: Full Time (37.5 Hours Per/Week) Pavilion Victoria Park is the hub of delicious Sri-Lankan cuisine, moreish freshly baked pastries, smooth espresso and heart-warming service. We are looking for a talented barista to join a great team of hospitality professionals and pour some silky-smooth latte art! You should have an extensive background in the hospitality industry with previous experience/training in coMee. We are looking for someone with a passion for the art and the hospitality industry, as well as a keen eye for detail and overall confidence in their coffee ability in a fast-paced environment. In the role, you’ll support store management to deliver excellent product and maintain our high expectation of customer satisfaction. Responsibilities: - Customer service: Assist customers and take orders if necessary - Equipment maintenance: Opening, closing and cleaning machines for service - Quality control: All product made and served are up to standard - Presentation: Maintain a clean and presentable workspace - Stock: Pre, during, close stock checks and maintenance - Communication: Between colleagues in the section to maintain quality and speed - Adaptation: Able to push and work through varying schedules and periods - Flexibility: Willingness to take on new responsibilities when needed Requirements and Skills: - Be able to confidently demonstrate prior experience and skill as a Barista - Able to Dial in, and close the station - Develop, adjust and set recipes - Knowledge of brewing techniques and maintenance of equipment - Great communication skills and hospitable engagement with customers - Willingness to work flexible hours
