Job Title: Barista and Kiosk Manager Location: St. Botolph without Bishopsgate, EC2M 3TL Hourly Rate: £15 per hour Working Hours: 18 hours per week. Mondays and Tuesdays 7 am to 4 pm. Start Date: Immediately About Us

St. Botolph without Bishopsgate is a place of sanctuary and a haven of peace and quiet in the City of London. We are an Anglican Christian community committed to a welcoming and inclusive ministry in London’s financial centre. The Good Coffee Kiosk is located in the front porch of the Church on Bishopsgate, one of the busiest streets in London. The kiosk aims to sell great tasting coffee to anyone and at the same time support local producers and businesses. All the profits from the kiosk go to charitable good causes. All this is undertaken serving the best speciality coffee, the highest standard of professionalism and outstanding customer service. Position Overview

The Barista and Kiosk Manager role is pivotal to the success and operational excellence of our coffee kiosk. The successful applicant will combine passion for coffee and customer service with effective management skills. The role demands a commitment to quality, safety, and the values that our brand stands for: outstanding service, high quality products, eco-friendliness, support for local producers and charities, and generosity of spirit. The ideal candidate will be able to deliver bespoke coffee beverages to our customers while working efficiently on their own, and run administrative tasks at quieter times.
This roll covers 50% of the opening time of the kiosk. The remaining time is covered by an existing barista whom the successful candidate will be responsible for managing. This team of two will be expected to manage cover between the two roles for planned leave as far as possible. Key Responsibilities

● Barista Duties: • Prepare high quality beverages, ensuring consistent flavour. • Assess and ensure the quality of coffee through regular quality checks. • Responsible for opening and closing the kiosk, daily management of stock, and overseeing daily operations to ensure smooth running. • Engage with customers, by providing excellent service championing the quality of our coffee. and fostering a welcoming atmosphere. • Food safety certification will need to be obtained through the Kiosk if not already held.

● Manager Duties: • Manage every operational aspect of the coffee department, including maintenance of equipment and stock ordering. • Serve as a role model in maintaining the kiosk’s standards and values, particularly regarding eco friendliness, support for local initiatives, and exceptional customer service. • Enforce high standards of presentation, cleanliness, health & safety, and quality control. • Cultivate a safe workplace, adhering to health and safety legislation. • Produce weekly reports to senior management. Essential skills • Proven barista experience. • Previous management or supervisory experience in a coffee shop or similar environment. • Great customer service and good communication skills. • Good attention to detail and ability to work independently.
